The Sahaba Series

This course offers a selected study from the lives of the Sahaba (Companions) of the Prophet, Peace and Blessings be upon him, and the lessons therein. The Sahaba were the closest people to Allah after the Prophets, so we can glean countless wisdoms and motivation from their lives. The Prophet, peace be upon him, told us that we can follow any of the Sahaba, as they are like the stars in the sky that help us navigate our lives.

Students will learn to appreciate their individual journeys and their importance within the greater Prophetic period. With this, there will be a focus on crucial lessons that we learn of service, asceticism, scholarship, perseverance, forbearance, and more. The Sahaba that will be covered include: Sayyiduna Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah, Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Ummi Maktoon, Sayyidah Fatima al-Zahra, Sayyiduna Suhaib al Rumi, Sayyiduna Abdul Rahman ibn Awf, Sayyiduna Hudhayfa bin Al-Yaman, and Sayyiduna Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas.

Instructor and Timing

Class will be taught by Ustadh Ammar Faiz on Sundays from 12pm to 1:30pm EDT weekly from October 20 to November 10.

Please note that on October 27 the timing will be 1 pm to 2:30 pm EDT due to daylight savings ending a week earlier in the UK where the teacher resides.

Prerequisite   – None required.

Recording – Each session will be recorded on Zoom. Links to access the recordings will be sent to all via email.

Payment Options – Please note that the registration fee covers all sessions of the class. No discount codes applied on top of bundle offers.

• Late registration fee from October 12 and thereon:
  • $50 per class
  • $100 for bundle of 3 classes (this price gives you one class free!)
  • $150 for all classes being offered (this price gives you one class free!)

Financial aid is also provided. Please note that, if approved, financial aid will cover the entire cost of the class and can only be applied towards only one class per semester per student.
